Faculty, Classified, and Administration Recognition Awards

1. College Excellence Award (Presenter: Dr. Adriana Barrera) - Louise Barbato and Charlotte Saldick
Criteria: Demonstrates a high quality in all aspects of the job, and exhibits a high level of performance and professionalism,

2. Outstanding Service Award (Presenter: Dr. Eloise Cantrell) - Eric Wilhite and Geri Shapiro
Criteria: Consistently promotes a friendly, helpful, cooperative attitude in serving internal and external customers. Demonstrates the "buck-stops-here" attitude in solving the customer's problem. Maintains a thorough understanding of services, policies, and procedures in order to communicate effectively with customers. Treats customers with dignity and respect.

3. Outstanding Achievement Award (Presenter: David Jordan)- Angela Echeverri and Eloise Cantrell
Criteria: Demonstrates exceptional accomplishments, achievements, or contributions and excellence in overall work performance. Has built a record of consistent achievement over time hat has significantly improved the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Individual consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, dedication, good work habits, initiative, flexibility, teamwork, and/or problem solving ability. For example, the employee may have demonstrated personal achievement and is frequently called upon for advice because of his or her expertise.

4. Citizenship Award (Presenter: Margie Long) - Georgia Estrada, Rachel Leeds and Alice Lal
Criteria: Initiates and enthusiastically supports community-building projects and events which may extend beyond the realm of assigned job duties. Models collegiality and respectful interpersonal relationships. Serves as a cheerleader/ambassador for promoting a positive image of the college to the public. Demonstrates exceptional institutional loyalty and commitment.

5. Award for Creativity/Innovation (Presenter: Sandra Lampert) - Carlos Garcia
Criteria: Exhibits initiative and creativity resulting in improved operations. Produces results such as increased productivity, efficiencies, and/or employee morale- boosting measures through innovation and bright ideas that are implemented and evaluated positively within the department and/or the college.

6. Best Attitude Award (Presenter: Gayle Brosseau) Rosalie Hilger and Lisa Parker
Criteria: Friendly, "can do" attitude, helpful, supportive and flexible.

7. Campus Improvement and Environment Award (Presenter: Richard Arvizu) - Yolanda Ramil
Criteria: Improves the workplace environment, and responds to the immediate needs of the college, students, faculty, staff and administration.

8. College Leadership Award (Presenter: Bill Farmer) - Sandra Lampert, Leslie Milke
Criteria: Displays leadership by bringing out the best in others, maintains a professional demeanour during difficult or stressful daily work situations, and motivates others to do the same.

9. Rookie of the Year Award (Presenter: Anafe Robinson) - Dorothy Mundt and Donna Ayers
Criteria: The best newcomer Faculty, Classified, or Administration, who exemplifies the spirit and dedication to "work ethic" of Mission College Classifed Staff.

10. College Appreciation Award (Presenter: Shari Borchetta) - Gwen Walker and Shirley Hollingsworth
Criteria: Demonstrates continued loyalty in service to faculty, staff, administration, and students for 10 years or more.

11. College Departmental Appreciation Award (Presenter: Margie Long) - Natural Sciences (Maria Fenyes/Mike Reynolds), Worksource California (Director- Gayle Brosseau), and the Business Department (Andres Guerrero, Paula Riggs, and the entire Business Department Staff)
Criteria: The College Department which, throughout the entire year, in its entirety distinguished itself, by working, above and beyond the "call of duty", and whose team spirit, collaboration, and "can do" attitude best exemplifies the Mission College mission and goal "Our Mission is your success".

12.Outstanding Contribution to Intellectual Vitality of the College (Presenter:Martha Soto) - Richard Rains
Criteria: As faculty or staff, this person fosters the development and the quest for intellectual honesty, and integrity, along with academic excellence at the College.

13. "Go the Extra Mile Award"(Presenter: Ed Zayas) - Juna Wada, Julius Walker, and Jesse Sanchez
Criteria: This person goes "above and beyond" the call of duty to ensure that our College faculty, staff, administration, and community are served and receive the "best services and education" exemplied in a model California Community College.

14. Recognition for College Teaching(Presenters: Bill Farmer and Leslie Milke) - Ken Gorham, Doug McFerran, Ruth Suyama, and Joe Flores
Criteria: For exceptionsal dedication, untiring efforts, selfless contribution of time and their talents in support of the students, faculty, staff and administration at Los Angeles Mission College

15. Special College Appreciation Award (Presenter: Pat Flood) - Victoria Hansen
Criteria: For dedication and service to faculty, staff, and administration at Los Angeles Mission College.

16. Community and High School Relations (Presenter: Bill Farmer) - Rudy Garcia and the Culinary Arts Program
Criteria: promotes student success through integration of academic and vocational education, and builds community, school, and college relations.
